- Questions & Answers
Do you have any Question?Question: Can you use the Titanium Travel Mug 450 to boil water on the vargo hexagon wood stove and does a 27 oz water bottle fit inside this mug? 02 Oct, 2013Answer: While we do not recommend using the 450 Titanium Travel Mug for boiling water on the Hexagon (the mug diameter is not quite big enough to make it stable on the stove) our other pots and mugs will fit on top of the Hexagon quite well. Yes, depending on the bottle's diameter, a standard 27 oz water bottle should fit inside this mug. It's interior diameter is roughly 80 mm/3.1 inches.Question: Is it double walled? 06 Oct, 2013Answer: The Titanium Travel Mug 450 is a single wall mug to help reduce weight and double as a cooking mug if desired (you can't cook in a double walled mug).Question: Does the 450ml mug come with a storage bag? 11 Oct, 2013Answer: Yes, it and all the other Vargo pots and mugs come with a mesh storage/travel bag. Great for carrying the pot or mug and other parts of your cook kit.Question: Where can I get a lid for the 450 ml mug ? 13 Oct, 2013Answer: We currently do not make a lid for the 450 Travel Mug though plenty of people simply use aluminum foil as a makeshift lid while cooking.Question: If needed will the travel mug 450 hold up to high heat for cooking or boiling water? 17 Feb, 2014Answer: Yes, the Titanium 450 Travel Mug will work to cook or boil water in thanks to its single wall construction.Question: What material is the handle made of? Steel, aluminium or titanium? 01 Aug, 2014Answer: The handle is also made of titanium as are all of our pots and mugs.Question: Can the Travel Mug 450 be used with the Triad alcohol stove and will this stove fit inside the Travel Mug 450? 20 Aug, 2014Answer: Yes, but it's tricky. Full extended the pot supports are too wide for the base of the Travel Mug 450. However, if they're extended straight up or folded down completely, it'll work if you're extremely careful. Make sure the legs are firmly anchored into the ground (see our how-to video) to prevent tipping. And, yes, the Triad fits inside the Travel Mug 450 nicely.Question: Does the Titatium Travel Mug 450ml fit inside the 1L Bot for traveling and packing purposes? 26 Nov, 2014Answer: Yes, the 450 Travel Mug will fit inside the titanium or stainless steel BOT.Question: Hi - Two questions. 1) Can I easily use this mug atop the Vargo Hexagon Wood Stove? I am using that as my windscreen/pot stand with my alcohol stove. 2) I already have a Snow Peak Double Wall Ti 300 mug. Wondering if the inside dimensions of your 450 mug will allow that 300 mug to nest inside. All of this I am hoping can 'nest' inside my new Vargo Ti BOT! :) Many thanks! JL 04 Oct, 2016Answer: Yes, it will fit on top of the Hexagon though it's narrow enough to allow for easy tipping if not careful, which is why we don't recommend it. The inside diameter of the mug is 79 mm or slightly over 3.1 inches.Question: What is the wall thickness on the ti 450 travel mug? Thanks 22 Dec, 2016Answer: It is 0.40 mm.Question: Can I put TITANIUM 450 TRAVEL HUSBAND on bottles of Nalgene Bottle 1L from the bottom? 24 Oct, 2017Answer: Hi! No, the 450 Travel Mug will not fit on the bottom of a Nalgene Bottle. However, our Ti-Lite 750 Mug will perfectly.
