once i figured out the coffee to water ratio it actually makes a really good cup of coffee

Great! Made a lot with the 450 & 700 bots!

I just tested this at home buying the bot 450 and the coffee filter to nest in my 700- this works with the filter in the 450 and then putting them upside down in the 700. I then tested using the filter as a “bake-packer” with a silicone cup- using bisquick water, freeze dried strawberries, chia and almonds was able to make a muffin in my bot 700. With the leftover water I made coffee. This is going to be awesome when I hit the trail!

I picked this up on a whim to have a travel coffee filter without worrying about packing filter paper.
Turns out I use this almost every day at home when I want fresh drip coffee just for myself.
I haven't taken it camping yet, mostly because the new instant coffees are very convenient and are getting to be pretty good.
But with the small size and light weight, this is what I will take if I take fresh coffee.
Overall, it works as advertised.

I was really looking forward to the coffee filter and wasn't disappointed either: - The workmanship is flawless - The legs are deliberately a bit stiff, which makes setting and aligning really easy - Can be cleaned very well and easily - You don't need an extra paper filter! !! This is how making coffee is fun on the tour!

I wanted to make a coffee filter that would be more compact than most others in this category and use quality titanium material that would not impart any flavor. The challenge was that sourcing titanium with proper sized filtering holes does not exist. I had to work around this issue by using a very fine titanium mesh. It took several years to finally create a titanium filter that made proper coffee. If the mesh was too fine, water would stop flowing. Too big and the coffee flavor was too weak.
