- Questions & Answers
Do you have any Question?Question: Can the flask be engraved? 15 Aug, 2014Answer: Yes, titanium can be engraved. We're working to see how we can provide this service to our customers. In the meantime, any jeweler who does engraving should be able to do so for the Funnel Flask.Question: Will this product rust over time or deteriorate in any other way? 25 Aug, 2014Answer: Nope! That's one of the beautiful things about titanium--it won't rust or corrode over time, remains biocompatible (no leaching chemicals, BPA, etc.), and won't alter the flavor of your beverage.Question: Are extra silicone funnels available for purchase? 26 Aug, 2014Answer: Yes, extra silicone funnels are available for purchase at $2.50 each plus $5.25 shipping. Send us an email at info@vargooutdoors (dot) com or call us at 570-437-0990 to order these.Question: I'm having a hard time filling it, the narrow neck causes the liquid to back up. Any suggestions ? 04 Feb, 2015Answer: Yes, it's best to fill the flask slowly while holding it at an angle (approx. 45 degrees). If you're filling it on a flat surface, the air bubbles from inside cannot escape. Also, trying to fill the flask with water won't work well as water is too "sticky" ...even when holding the flask at an angle.Question: What is the size of the bottle opening inside. For the Old modelen and the new with 44% larger opening? Is it different screw cap on the old modelen and the new? Is it possible to order an extra screw cap? 24 Jul, 2015Answer: The diameter of the first model of the Funnel Flask was 8 mm. The diameter of the new model is 10 mm. Yes, the screw lids are different sizes and, yes, it is possible to get replacement lids.Question: Sometimes I am worried about dropping the small lid and losing it as it isn't on a hinge like most flask. Do you sell replacement lids? 17 Jan, 2016Answer: Yes, we do. Just contact us through the website if this should happen.Question: How's the neck attached to the body? Is it welded or something? Greets Michael 02 Jan, 2017Answer: Yes, the neck is welded to the body.Question: Is it possible to disinfect the flask and funnel by submerging in boiling water? 03 Jan, 2019Answer: That shouldn't be a problem. A great way to rinse a flask, however, is some kosher salt and rubbing alcohol. Put some of both in the flask, screw the lid on tight, and shake vigorously for about 30 seconds. Be sure to rinse well when you're done.
