It converts easily from a water bottle to a cooking pot with a simple flip of the lid yet its watertight, temperature resistant O-ring won’t melt when exposed to heat. Graduated measurements in 100 ml increments makes measuring food and liquid a snap.  The BOT fits in most standard water bottle pockets. What it doesn’t fit into is the convention that you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Just another Vargo original idea.

Features:

  • Made of the highest quality of titanium available free of linings or coatings
  • Screw-top lid with a watertight, heat-resistant O-ring that doubles as a cooking pot lid
  • Wide mouth design to make cooking, cleaning, and using a lot easier. It can fit your entire hand inside it while still fitting in most water bottle pockets!
  • 1.0 liter capacity to make measuring, cooking meals, and sterilizing water more convenient
  • Graduate measurements in 100 ml increments from 300-900 ml.
  • Both pieces work well with pot lifters

Trailspace.com: Vargo Titanium BOT Bottle Pot

By pillowthread on Trailspace.com

"Vargo’s Bot gracefully combines a functional 1-liter titanium pot with a screw-on titanium lid to create a versatile object capable of both cooking and storage. It is the epitome of simplicity, with just two precisely machined titanium pieces and a fat silicone ring to perfectly seal the bead. The titanium is thick, and a sealed Bot is functionally indestructible."

Question:

Will the TITANIUM 450 TRAVEL MUG nest inside the TITANIUM TI-LITE 750 MUG or the TITANIUM TI-LITE 900 MUG? And what is the biggest one that will fit inside the TITANIUM BOT? Thanks

By Allan McHenry
on 4 November, 2019
Answer:
  • The 450 Travel Mug will fit in the 750 and 900 mugs, as well as in the BOT. The fits will not be snug, but the 450 mug can be stored in each of the other two mugs and the BOT. Of the mugs, only the 450 mug will fit in the BOT. The 750 and 900 are both too large to fit in the BOT.

Question:

My question is about using chemical tablets for purifying the water. Note, one person, in a prior comment indicated he scooped up water from even "puddles" With a military style canteen, and even a Nalgene, one can put tablets in the bottle, let "fizzle" for ten minutes, turn the Nalgene upside down, loosen the cap and "bleed" the water through, putting non diluted water through the outside threads where your lips will go when sipping from the bottle. So in this case with your bot, there isn't any outside threads that the non diluted water would pass by when holding upside down. What suggestions do you have for treatment of water (I assume titanium and tablets will go together) so that the portions of the container where your lips go, aren't contaminated?

By chuck thornton
on 4 November, 2019
Answer:
  • We recommend pouring treated water into the BOT (e.g. via a filter/purifier) so that the lip doesn't come in contact with untreated water. Additionally you can use another container to scoop up the water to then carefully pour the untreated water into the BOT so that the lip of the BOT doesn't come in contact with the untreated water.
