New Store Opening - Coming April, 2012!

 We are excited to announce that our retail store is moving to a new, larger location along the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail in Lewisburg, PA.  The new store will open April 1st, 2012 and will more than triple our current size.  We will offer a larger variety of products, rental programs (bicycle and kayak), outdoor seating, frozen yogurt, refreshments, etc.  More information to come...

Our History

Vargo Outdoors began as a website devoted to providing information on how to backpack and offered various hiking checklists and Appalachian Trail statistics.  Our site was not a money making venture, just a place to publish ideas on backpacking.  It was a few years later, around 2002, that we converted to an online store and began selling backpacking gear, climbing equipment and outdoor apparel.

In 2003,  we began designing and manufacturing backpacking equipment.  We started with titanium tent stakes, then backpacking stoves, then a titanium mug and kept expanding.  Currently, we offer approximately 60 items manufactured under the Vargo brand and, in 2008, opened a retail store in beautiful historic Lewisburg, PA.
